Hi there! We are David and Michelle Rodriguez, the founders of D.R. Paws Mobile Grooming. Along with our little girl, Olivia, and our two Cane Corsos, Nala and Diesel, we are proud to call Johnstown home.

David’s journey into the dog world began in early 2022 at a dog boarding facility. Starting as a kennel attendant and quickly moving up to a bather, he spent thousands of hours learning the nuances of canine behavior—how they communicate, read emotions, and react to their surroundings.

Wanting to take his passion to the next level, David moved from San Jose, California to Southern Oregon, where he studied at the ABC Dog Grooming School and completed a hands-on apprenticeship with a mobile groomer. He then sharpened his skills as a professional pet stylist at PetSmart, mastering all breeds, coat types, and temperaments.

Michelle’s career recently brought our family to beautiful Colorado, where David has been grooming since early 2025. Seeing all the wonderful new neighborhoods popping up in and around Johnstown, we realized there was a huge need for a dedicated, local mobile service that brings top-tier care right to your doorstep.

When we aren’t pampering your pups, you can find our family exploring Colorado—traveling, taking long hikes with Olivia and our two gentle giants, and whenever David gets the chance, catching some fish! We can’t wait to meet your furry family members and give them the stress-free spa day they deserve.
